Varna port

Keeping up with posting every day turned out harder than I actually imagined, especially when you’re travelling. Anyways, here is quick update from the last days spent in Varna. After spending a couple of wonderful days with my brother, my mom came to town and we had an amazing day together, shopping and walking around the city. We enjoyed the summer temperatures so much, had a nice walk along the seaside and lunch at the port. Best part – I had forgotten my body lotion so the only thing I found in my brother’s apartment was a sun lotion, which I put all over my body. The result was the smell of sun lotion throughout the whole day, and combined with the salt in the air it was all we needed for vacation mood all day long 🙂 This Weekday shirt that I wore is for sure boring every single person around me, since I haven’t stopped wearing it every other day from the moment I got it in Vienna a month ago, but I can’t help myself, I just love it so much 😀 It’s one of those pieces that you put on once and it’s just so you, it’s like you’ve owned it your whole life 😀 What is more, it is so versatile + I’ve always adored off-the-shoulder tops so I’m totally embracing and enjoying the current trend and will be definitely stocking up on some more of those soon.

Summer is coming

Ever since I landed on Tuesday morning, Bulgaria has been treating me really well. I cannot be thankful enough for all those happy moments with family and friends 🙂 After arriving in Shumen and having a nice welcome BBQ dinner, I headed to Varna on Wednesday to spend some days with my brother. After lunching at BM today, which is a great place for having uncomplicated and delicious lunch or dinner at the beach (I think we’ve been going to this place for one 10 years now), we headed to Cubo, which is also basically my brother and his friends’ second home in the warmer months and is a-m-a-z-i-n-g for everything from coffee in the afternoon to vodka shots and dancing till the morning haha (a.k.a. it’s a must in Varna:)

Croatia diary 2

IMG_7937This month has been very busy and two pretty cool things happened: 1. I had a great time celebrating my graduation here in Vienna with family and friends two weeks ago. 2. I started the most amazing master’s program at my home university – SIMC, which is taking a lot of my time right now, but I really enjoy the awesome spirit and people that I get to meet!!!

Even if there’s been quiet some time since our family trip to Croatia, I decided the second part of the trip also deserved its post. After Zagreb and Opatija we headed to Pula for 2 days to enjoy the city, see David Gilmore’s concert (which was so amazing in the beautiful setting of Arena Pula), and the weather even allowed some sunbathing :). Only problem we had was that it was really hard to find a good place to eat and even Tripadvisor couldn’t help!! (can’t say the same about Rovinj and Porec though)
